PERNILLA Look 1,3 and 4 featured in the Future Map Exhibition at Central Saint Martins

 

Future Map is London’s leading annual exhibition of the finest emerging talent from London’s creative powerhouse, University of the Arts London. Now in its 15th year, Future Map has a well-earned reputation amongst industry insiders for showcasing the next generation of artists and designers who will define our visual landscape. Future Map can be an important first career break for young artists and designers, providing an introduction to top UK and international gallerists, curators, collectors and critics.

Future Map 12 has been curated by University of the Arts London College Deans Mark Dunhill (Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design) and George Blacklock (Chelsea College of Art and Design) with a focus on fine art. Fifty exhibitors were selected from thousands of graduating BA and MA students, representing all the University Colleges and a range of disciplines, including photography, textiles, industrial design and fashion.

Limited edition and unlimited creativity

 
LIMITED/UNLIMITED is the new creative project and brainchild promoted by Silvia Venturini Fendi for Altaroma:  an exhibition-event that involves a group of young, talented fashion designers whose creations embody the theme of research and craftsmanship. Participating designers are invited to express their unlimited creativity through the creation of exclusive,  limited edition garments. Unique pieces, garments, accessories or jewellery, targeted at a contemporary reinterpretation of the concept of couture. The creative vitality of each single designer thus becomes an inherent part of a new aesthetic trend.

Each edition of Limited Unlimited envisages a theme serving as inspiration for the individual creations of each designer.

THE CAPSULE — Featuring PERNILLA Look 2
Athina Rachel Tsangari has created both a film and a projection installation for the DesteFashionCollection 2012, commissioned by art collector Dakis Joannou.
Entitled THE CAPSULE, it is a Greek Gothic mystery inspired by the work of the young Polish artist Aleksandra Waliszewska.
The film will première on the international film festival circuit in August 2012.
